Terms & Conditions
Jade Hire is a trading name of J&S Partners Ltd (the “Company”).
1. AGREEMENT
Subject to any variation expressly agreed in writing, the following Terms & Conditions constitute the contract between you (the “Customer”) and Jade Hire, a trading name of J&S Partners Ltd (the “Company”).
2. HIRE, PRICES, PAYMENT & DEPOSIT
2.1 A booking shall only be deemed confirmed once the Company has received a signed booking confirmation or pro forma invoice, whether by scanned copy, photograph attached to an email, or by post.
2.2 The Customer named on the booking confirmation accepts full responsibility for all hired goods, including liability for any loss, theft, or damage occurring during the hire period.
2.3 It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure that a representative is present on-site to receive, inspect, and sign for the goods at both delivery and collection.
2.4 All hired goods shall remain the sole property of Jade Hire at all times.
2.5 Hire prices and service charges shall be as set out in the Company’s current price list or written quotation at the time of issue. Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
2.6 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the Company shall not be obliged to provide any goods or services until full payment, including any required deposit, has been received.
2.7 The Company reserves the right to require full payment in advance for certain bookings, including (but not limited to) high-value orders, peak dates, bespoke hires, or where deemed appropriate by the Company.
2.8 Payment may be made via bank transfer, debit card, or credit card. Processing fees may apply.
2.9 Unless full payment is required in advance, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking. The remaining balance must be settled in full prior to delivery.
2.10 A refundable security deposit may be requested prior to delivery and held as security against loss, breakage, or damage to hired goods.
2.11 Any loss or damage will be assessed at the Company’s discretion, and repair or replacement costs (which may include full replacement value) will be invoiced accordingly.
2.12 Final order confirmations must be received no later than 72 hours prior to delivery. Amendments or confirmations received within this timeframe may be subject to additional charges.
2.13 All prices quoted are exclusive of VAT, unless expressly stated otherwise.
2.14 Unit prices are based on a 24-hour hire period, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2.15 All crockery, tableware, furniture, and event items supplied by Jade Hire are curated exclusively for hire purposes only and are not available for sale under any circumstances.
This hire-only model is fundamental to the Jade Hire brand and allows the Company to preserve the quality, presentation, and consistency of its collections, ensuring a refined and premium experience for all clients. Ownership of all hired goods shall therefore remain exclusively with Jade Hire at all times.
This policy is non-negotiable and forms part of the Company’s standard Terms & Conditions.
3. CANCELLATIONS
3.1 A minimum of 7 days’ written notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations made within 7 days of delivery will be charged in full.
3.2 Confirmed bespoke or custom orders are strictly non-cancellable.
3.3 No cancellation shall be deemed valid unless received in writing and formally acknowledged by the Company.
4. DELIVERY & COLLECTION
4.1 All delivery and collection times provided are estimates, which the Company will endeavour to meet.
4.2 Where suitable access, loading, or parking is unavailable, additional charges may apply and will be invoiced separately.
4.3 A waiting fee of £80 per hour will apply should the event space be unavailable for installation or collection at the agreed times.
4.4 An additional full-day hire charge may apply if items are not ready for collection at the agreed time.
4.5 No items may be altered, affixed to, or decorated (including tape, vinyl, or adhesives) without prior written consent. Cleaning, repair, or replacement charges may apply.
4.6 The Company is responsible for goods only while they are in its possession during delivery and collection.
4.7 Any discrepancies in quantity, condition, or quality must be raised immediately upon delivery and before goods are signed for.
4.8 Any equipment malfunction or breakage must be reported to the Company immediately.
4.9 The Company shall not be liable for loss or damage caused directly or indirectly by venue conditions, site access, third-party actions, or environmental factors.
4.10 Risk passes to the Customer upon delivery and remains with the Customer until goods are collected and checked back into the Company’s possession.
5. INSURANCE, STORAGE & USE
5.1 The Customer remains responsible for all hired goods throughout the hire period and is strongly advised to arrange suitable insurance cover.
5.2 All items must be stored securely and handled with due care at all times.
6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The Company’s total liability, whether in contract, tort, misrepresentation, restitution, or otherwise, shall be limited to the total amount paid by the Customer for the hire services provided.
7. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law.
8. DATA PROTECTION
The Company complies fully with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2025.
Only personal data necessary for contract fulfilment is collected and stored securely. Personal data may be shared with third parties solely where required for delivery, payment processing, or fulfilment.

9. EXCLUSIVE TABLEWARE HIRE
9.1 To uphold Jade Hire’s standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation, the Customer agrees that where crockery is hired from Jade Hire, all cutlery and glassware used at the same event must also be hired exclusively from Jade Hire.
9.2 This policy applies to all events, venues, private dining experiences, corporate functions, and celebrations.
9.3 Hiring crockery, cutlery or glassware from multiple suppliers for the same table setting is not permitted.
The use of tableware from multiple suppliers for the same table setting is not permitted.
Reasons for This Requirement
9.4 Hygiene & Safety
All Jade Hire items undergo strict cleaning and quality-control procedures. Mixing items from different suppliers may compromise hygiene standards.
9.5 Consistency & Presentation
Our collections are curated to ensure cohesive styling and visual harmony. External items may detract from the Jade Hire standard.
9.6 Liability & Protection
Exclusive hire ensures clear accountability for damage, loss, or misuse.
Failure to Comply
9.7 Jade Hire reserves the right to refuse or cancel a booking without refund, or apply additional charges, where this policy is not adhered to.
